VIAHA Proposal Tier-1 Zone teams

Posted by Peninsula Minor Hockey at Jun 1, 2018 1:51PM PDT

The Vancouver Island Hockey Association (VIAHA) is proposing to establish Tier 1 regional zone teams for the Pee Wee, Bantam, and Midget Divisions. The draft document can be found on the VIAHA and PMHA websites (under the Documents tab in the Announcements folder and attached to this post).

VIAHA is asking the Boards of all Island associations to indicate if they support this proposal. Accordingly, the Peninsula Minor Hockey Association Board of Directors would like to hear from PMHA members.

We invite you to use the link below and fill out a short survey to give your feedback on this proposal:

This is a call for anyone interested in coaching at PMHA for the upcoming 2018/19 PMHA season in both REP and REC levels.

Please fill out the attached application form and submit it via e-mail to no later than May 25, 2018.

For the REP coach selection, a panel will be conducting interviews at the end of May with the goal of identifying our REP coaches by early June.

For the REC coach selection, we will focus on this in August, however the association is hoping to get a head start in this regard to assist our Divisional Managers.

The South Island Royals Regional Female A Competitive Program is holding ice sessions to allow female players to come out and see if the program is for them.

All Peewee, Bantam & Midget female players that are looking for a competitive female team are invited out to try these sessions. See the attached poster for details.

PMHA Buy/Sell/Swap on Facebook

Posted by Peninsula Minor Hockey at Apr 22, 2018 8:44PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Over the last few years many members have expressed a desire to have a place to donate, sell or buy hockey gear. It wasn’t possible to create something like Larry Orr’s garage; nothing could come close to the type of place “Mr. Hockey” had created.

Rather than a physical space, PMHA has created a virtual group that will allow PMHA members to buy, sell, swap and donate hockey gear to one another. This program will be a pilot program for the 2018/19 hockey season. We hope it becomes a vibrant part of our PMHA community!

The group can be found on Facebook under the name: PMHA Buy/Sell/Swap. Any PMHA member can join by finding the page and sending a join request. Once you have answered the 2 membership questions, you will be able to easily post items and pictures as per any other Facebook marketplace.

We look forward to your posts!
